Servara Ltd are proud to be partnering with a long‑established Plumbing & Heating Contractor based in East Devon to recruit an experienced Gas Installation Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable, growing business with a strong local presence and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship. You will be responsible for installing domestic boilers and heating systems across Devon, Somerset and occasionally Dorset. Ideally, the Gas Installation Engineer will be based in or around Exeter, Taunton or the surrounding areas, with flexibility to travel as required.
Responsibilities
- Installing a range of domestic boilers and full heating systems
- Replacing and upgrading existing boilers, cylinders and pipework
- Installing radiators, controls, pumps and associated components
- Carrying out system conversions (e.g., open vent to combi)
- Installing ASHP units where qualified
- Ensuring all installations meet current regulations and manufacturer standards
- Commissioning systems and completing all relevant certification
- Providing clear advice to customers on system use and maintenance
- Maintaining accurate job records via an electronic device
- Representing the company professionally and delivering excellent customer service
Qualifications
- A recognised plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Full domestic gas qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1
- Experience installing domestic boilers and heating systems
- Oil, LPG or ASHP installation experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A clean and valid driving licence
