Main job:
Oversee groundworks, drainage, civils on UK construction sites. Plus: manage scaffolding, formwork, shoring + other temporary structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Engineering:
- Supervise groundworkers, set-out, levels, concrete pours
- Check drainage, pipework, manholes meet design
- Liaise with clients, architects, structural engineers
- Temporary Works Coordinator:
- Review TW design drawings + method statements
- Check permits for scaffold, formwork, piling, shoring
- Inspect TW on-site before concrete pours/loads
- Sign-off TW checklists before use
- Safety + Compliance:
- Follow CDM 2015, BS 5975 for TW
- Raise NCRs, attend H&S meetings
- Team:
- Manage civils team, delegate tasks
- Mentor junior engineers/groundworkers
Requirements - UK 2026
- Quals: BEng/MEng Civil Eng. Chart Eng (IEng/EngTech)
- Experience: 5+ years UK civils site experience
- Skills: Reading drawings, AutoCAD, MS Project/Excel
- Certs: CSCS Gold, SMSTS, TW Coordinator ticket (BS 5975)

- AM: Site inspection, TW check, coordination mtg
- Work : Supervise pours, resolve clashes
- PM : Review RFIs , update programme logs
