An established HVAC contractor is looking to appoint a Service & Maintenance Manager to take ownership of its service division. The business operates across ventilation and air conditioning, with an existing client base and a strong pipeline of ad hoc and contract work. This role has been created to support planned growth and bring structure, commercial control, and leadership to the department.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the service and maintenance function, covering ventilation and air conditioning systems.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Managing service and maintenance contracts from enquiry and tender through to delivery
- Overseeing a key long-term contract within a large-scale estate environment
- Leading a team of engineers
- Pricing, quoting, and scoping service, maintenance, and small works
- Coordinating reactive and planned maintenance activities
- Maintaining service delivery standards across AHUs, ductwork, and AC systems (split, VRF/VRV)
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and ensuring ongoing relationship management
- Supporting the growth of the division, including input into recruitment and structure
Requirements
- Proven background in HVAC service and maintenance (ventilation and/or air conditioning)
- Technically competent across systems such as AHUs, ductwork, and AC (split, VRF/VRV)
- Experience in pricing and quoting service or small works
- Previous supervisory or management experience, or stepping up from a senior engineer position
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage client relationships
- Full UK driving licence
