CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a HVAC Technician. As a CBRE HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at facilities by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance.

This job is part of the IFM team. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Install, repair, adjust, and maintain air conditioning and cooling plant used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and production plant equipment.
  • Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.
  • Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Anticipate potential objections and persuade others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed within the specified SLA and KPIs.
What You’ll Need
  • City & Guilds Mechanical/Electrical discipline competency, Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • City & Guilds Level 2 Award in F Gas and ODS Regulations: Category 1 or equivalent.
  • 5 plus years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 20kg or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Experience in working with a CAFAM system. Examples include Maximo.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
