Site Installation and Commissioning Electrician – Industrial Control Systems (Huddersfield/UK) 80% field based. Standard hours Monday to Thursday (36 hours per week). Typical total annual earnings in the region of £50,000.
Compensation details:
- £19.11 per hour Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm (36 hours).
- £1.34 per hour whilst on site – total £20.45 per hour.
- Overtime rate – £28.67 per hour + site allowance if on site.
- £28.67 per hour if you work Friday (time and a half) + £1.34 per hour shift site allowance – total £30.01 per hour.
Benefits include:

Essential to Apply:
- Control panel manufacture experience.
- MCC build or more complex motor control work.
- Testing and commissioning of machinery or systems beyond standard electrical installation sign off.

- Experienced site installations & maintenance electrician.
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship and/or qualifications.
- Happy to work away on a regular basis.
- Able to provide own basic tools (specialist tools provided).
The Role:
- Complete site installations and maintenance on customers’ sites.
- Test and commission machinery and systems.
- Carry out factory & office based electrical work.
- Manufacture control panels.
- Manufacture more complex MCC (Motor Control Centre).
- Inspect, test and certify installations.
- Work as part of a team or alone.
Ideally You Will Have the Following – But Not Essential:
- Inspection, testing & initial verification such as C&G 2391, 2394 & 2395.
- Confined space training.
- Experience within the water industry.
- COMPEX qualifications.
