Due to continued growth, a leading specialist engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Hoddesdon, North London. This role will focus on the electrical installation package, including power distribution, containment, cabling, switchgear, UPS systems, lighting and associated electrical building services infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage on-site electrical installation activities from start to completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour & site resources
- Oversee installation of containment, cabling, switchgear, UPS, lighting & electrical infrastructure
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme & to required quality standards
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks & progress reporting
- Coordinate with project management, design & commissioning teams
- Ensure compliance with H&S procedures, technical standards & client requirements
- Support testing, commissioning & project handover activities
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Electrical Site Manager within Building Services
- Strong background delivering electrical packages on large-scale projects
- Data centre / critical infrastructure experience highly beneficial
- Good understanding of electrical building services installations including LV systems, containment, cabling & power distribution
- SMSTS / SSSTS & CSCS required
- Strong organisational & communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors & fast-paced programmes
