The Role of the HGV Auto Electrician:
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Electrician / Auto Electrician to join a busy and well‑established engineering team working on modern bus and coach fleets. This is a great opportunity to work in a safety‑critical transport environment, maintaining vehicles to the highest standards of reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities of the HGV Auto Electrician:
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on HGV / PSV vehicles
- Work on wiring systems, CANbus, multiplex systems and ECUs
- Carry out inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance
- Support with vehicle diagnostics to minimise downtime
- Respond to in‑service defects and breakdowns where required
- Complete job cards and compliance documentation accurately
- Ensure all work is carried out to DVSA and company standards
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as an Auto Electrician / Vehicle Electrician
- Experience working on HGV, PSV, Bus or Coach vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
- Knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems
