We are looking for an experienced Senior Fire Engineer for a Hertford based company, to carry out routine servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on a range of fire alarm systems. The role is field based, with visits to commercial, residential and construction sites, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission addressable and conventional fire alarm systems in line with current standards and manufacturer requirements.
- Carry out advanced fault finding on complex systems, identifying root cause and corrective actions.
- Configure system logic, cause and effect programming, and networked panel arrangements.
- Produce accurate commissioning documentation and technical reports.
You will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in commissioning & fault-finding for complex fire alarm systems.
- Strong technical understanding of systems, programming, and diagnostics.
- The ability to mentor, support, and influence other engineers.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and professional communication.
- A proactive, accountable mindset with a commitment to doing the job right first time.
- A qualification in BS7671.
- Commissioning system experience.
