Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Manager to join their business in Hertford.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall operational performance, EH&S and P&L ownership for the Plant, including hands-on leadership of the Business System which enables continuous improvement throughout the value stream.
- Lead Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance to exceed stakeholders' expectations and enable growth in the business.
Qualifications
- Must have at least 4 years of experience as a Plant Manager.
- 5+ years in Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a leadership role in a manufacturing company, preferably in the machining industry.
- Proven managerial experience with knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
- Technical background with familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes.
- Result- and performance-oriented with strong decision-making, communication and change-management skills; proven people management and teamwork ability.
- Knowledge of Lean tools; Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma is required (Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma is preferred).
- Experience with 80/20 business simplification is preferred.
- Master's degree or equivalent related experience is required; advanced degree is preferred.
