We are recruiting on behalf of a major construction consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering complex built environment projects safely and to the highest standards. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to join their specialist team. You will provide expert health and safety guidance across a varied portfolio of construction projects, supporting clients from pre-construction through to completion. CDM 2015 experience is essential, and candidates with Principal Designer experience will be at a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Consultant:
- Advising on and ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 Regulations across multiple projects
- Preparing and reviewing pre-construction information, construction phase plans, and H&S files
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Acting as Principal Designer on suitable projects (desirable)
- Providing competent H&S advice to clients, contractors, and design teams
- Supporting incident investigation and near-miss reporting
- Contributing to internal training and continual improvement
Requirements of the Health & Safety Consultant:
- Solid, demonstrable experience in H&S within construction or the built environment
- Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 — essential
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or higher (Diploma)
- IOSH membership (TechIOSH minimum; CMIOSH desirable)
- Principal Designer experience — highly advantageous
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging at all levels
- Full UK driving licence

- Salary: between £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
