Workshop Recruitment is supporting a well-established manufacturing business in the search for two Maintenance Engineers to join their engineering team. These are permanent opportunities offering either a Night Shift pattern or a Double Days rotation, both with attractive shift premiums.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will support production through planned and reactive maintenance, equipment improvement projects, and technical support across the site. This role would suit an experienced engineer with a proactive mindset and a passion for improving machine performance and reliability.

Shift Patterns

  • Night Shift - 38% shift premium
    Sunday: 10:30pm – 6:00am
    Monday–Thursday: 10:00pm – 6:00am
    30-minute unpaid break
  • Double Days Rotation - 24% shift premium
    Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm Mon–Thurs, 6:00am – 1:30pm Friday
    Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:00pm Mon–Thurs, 1:30pm – 9:00pm Friday
    30-minute unpaid break

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
  • Diagnose faults across electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability projects
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records
  • Support and mentor maintenance technicians when required
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify improvements
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained

Skills & Experience

  • Time-served or HNC-qualified in Electro-Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, pneumatics, and automated equipment
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
  • Experience with CMMS systems desirable
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge advantageous
  • 18th Edition qualification desirable
