We’re currently recruiting for an Electronics Project Engineer to join a growing and innovative engineering business. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering new electronic products from concept through to production within a collaborative R&D environment.
You’ll take ownership of electronics development projects, working closely with internal R&D teams and external manufacturing partners to deliver high-quality, compliant products. This is a varied, hands-on role offering real responsibility and the chance to influence design, quality, and performance across the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Lead electronics projects from initial specification through to production and final documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical support and input into product development
- Manage project timelines and priorities to ensure delivery against key milestones
- Work with external design and manufacturing partners, resolving technical queries and ensuring requirements are met
- Test, validate, and verify electronic products to ensure performance and quality standards
- Carry out fault finding and root cause analysis using appropriate tools and techniques
- Support the development of test equipment, jigs, and fixtures
- Research and recommend new technologies and components
- Manage component obsolescence and identify suitable alternatives
- Ensure products meet relevant regulatory standards (e.g. EMC, LVD, ROHS)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience within an electronics or product development environment
- Strong understanding of PCB design and/or manufacturing (desirable)
- Experience managing or supporting engineering projects
- Knowledge of product compliance and regulations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for engineering
