A great opportunity to join a commercial team based in Hampshire working on major SSE Framework. The Quantity Surveyor plays an integral part in delivering exceptional commercial results. Core responsibilities encompass project delivery, commercial reporting, and maximising profit.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist the commercial team in providing support to the contract delivery team to ensure profitability, cash management, cost control, and accurate reporting of all schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of application and credit control processes
- Management of optimisation of income
- Management of all processes with regard to costing and forecasting
- Management of change control system
- Input into the management of project risk
- Management of CTC and CVRs
- Management of the full sub-contract cycle
- Provision of commercial advice to Project Team
- Development of team spirit and trustworthiness within Project Commercial Team and with Client and S/C
- Management of dispute resolution
- Communications within the Project Commercial Team and with the Project Team
- Management of Training plans – Input into the tendering process
- Training an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
- Travel to multiple Renewables projects around the UK
About you:
- Experienced Quantity Surveyor
- Degree educated or HND/HNC equivalent
- Working towards Professional Qualification
- Substantial post degree experience working in contracting commercial department
- Working knowledge of construction industry conditions of contract
- Proficient in Microsoft packages (Excel)
- Confident in Training
