Coded Welder required. My client is an independent steam specialist offering boiler repair, installation, troubleshooting and inspection solutions for everything from a passing valve to a complete turnkey boiler house installation. They are looking to recruit an experienced coded welder to join their team in Halesowen.
The ideal candidate will come from a welding and fabrication background, have experience with boilers and valves, will be highly proficient with stick welding, and will be based locally to Halesowen with a full UK driving licence.
Coded Welder Position Overview
- Retubing of boilers
- Cutting out and completing D‑patch repairs
- Tube plate replacement
- Coded welding of pipework / vessels
- Welding predominantly carbon steel MMA using low‑hydrogen electrodes
- Travelling to customer sites as required
Coded Welder Position Requirements
- Previous welding experience is essential
- Must hold a recognised qualification in welding
- Highly proficient with stick welding
- Able to understand welding diagrams
- Experience working with boilers and valves
- Based within a commutable distance of Halesowen
- Full driving licence
Coded Welder Position Remuneration
- Salary: £20.00 – £22.00 per hour.
- Monday to Friday – 07:30 to 16:00.
- Overtime paid at time and a half for the first 4 hours and double time thereafter.
- Saturday work paid at time and a half and Sunday work paid at double time.
- 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
- Pension.
