We are supporting a large, multi-site FMCG business in the appointment of a Group Health & Safety Manager on a 6-month contract. This is a key interim role, responsible for leading H&S strategy, compliance, and culture across multiple manufacturing and distribution sites in a fast-paced operational environment. Working closely with senior leadership and site teams, you will provide clear direction on health & safety performance, ensuring consistent standards across the group while driving continuous improvement and behavioural safety.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver the group H&S strategy during the contract period
  • Partner with site leadership across multiple FMCG locations
  • Drive improvements in safety culture and operational compliance
  • Ensure adherence to UK H&S legislation and company standards
  • Oversee audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Report on H&S performance to senior stakeholders
  • Provide visible, hands-on leadership across all sites

Candidate requirements:

  • Proven H&S leadership experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or similar environments
  • Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation and operational application
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent); IOSH Chartered status
  • Experience in multi-site or group-level roles
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to influence at all levels
