Hours: 9.00am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday

Salary: circa £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience

We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer for our client based near Saffron Walden, to support product quality across complex electronic assemblies. The role sits within a product development and manufacturing environment and plays a key part in inspection, configuration control and continuous improvement activities.

UK Security Clearance will be required for this role therefore foreign will unfortunately not be eligible.

Responsibilities
  • Incoming inspection of components to ensure compliance, correct issue status and full traceability
  • In process and final inspection of electronic assemblies and supporting documentation
  • Monitoring adherence to manufacturing and quality procedures, identifying and addressing deviations
  • Configuration control checks to ensure correct parts and approved builds are used
  • Managing non-conformances, concessions and returns including documentation and rework control
  • Supporting stock control to ensure materials are correctly allocated to builds
  • Contributing to ongoing improvement of quality and manufacturing processes
Requirements
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally with complex electronic assemblies
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and controlled build environments
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Able to interpret technical documentation and quality procedures with minimal supervision
  • Good problem‐solving skills and confidence supporting root cause analysis
  • Proactive, flexible, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
