About the role
Ride On Entertainment is looking for a practical and dependable Mobile Service Technician to maintain its popular children’s rides across shopping centres in South East London, Essex and Kent. You do not need formal engineering qualifications. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical repair and fault-finding experience, particularly gained from vending machines, gaming machines, amusement equipment, coffee machines or similar equipment. You will manage your own regional route, visiting approximately three to four shopping centres each day to service, clean and maintain the rides.

What you’ll be doing:
- Following a planned regional route across South East London, Essex and Kent
- Visiting approximately three to four shopping centres each day
- Servicing and maintaining children’s entertainment rides
- Diagnosing and repairing basic mechanical faults
- Completing straightforward electrical repairs where required
- Installing and repositioning machines within shopping centres
- Working independently and taking responsibility for your route
What we’re looking for:
- Practical mechanical repair and fault-finding experience
- Experience maintaining machines, equipment or similar products
- Confidence working independently
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to carry out a physically active role using the lifting equipment provided
- Experience with vending machines, gaming machines, amusement equipment, coffee machines or other electromechanical equipment would be particularly relevant
Working hours:
You will normally arrive at your first shopping centre between 5am and 6am and finish between 2pm and 3pm. Weekend call-outs are very rare and only required for emergency breakdowns. Additional payment and time off during the following week are provided. Bank holiday cover is shared on a rota and paid additionally.
