Overview

Our client operates a large safety‑critical manufacturing facility with a turnover in the hundreds of millions. They manufacture specialised products for key industry players in FMCG and have a solid maintenance function. They are currently looking for a motivated Mechanical Fitter to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with industrial mechanical equipment and components such as valves, bearings, shafts, pump seals, rollers, hydraulics etc.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Team up on machinery such as conveyors, crushers, milling machines, grinders, heat exchangers, packaging machines.
  • Perform Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Recognised mechanical qualification.
  • Experience working with a maintenance engineering team.
  • Sound understanding of key mechanical components.
  • Previous COMAH experience is beneficial, though not essential.
