The Role

  • You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a busy operational environment, ensuring equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and safe working practices at all times.
  • Fault finding and repair on electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Reactive breakdown response
  • Working on pumps, motors, conveyors, control systems, valves, and associated equipment
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records
  • Working independently and as part of a wider engineering team

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Minimum 5 years' engineering experience
  • Background within FMCG, industrial, or water/wastewater environments
  • Multi-skilled capability with either electrical or mechanical bias
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

Desirable

  • Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, BOAS or equivalent)
  • Experience working in fast-paced operational environments
  • Knowledge of health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
