Job Title: Mechanical Modifications Technician (Rolling Stock)
Location: East Yorkshire
Hourly Pay Rate: £21.57 Paye / £29.00 Umbrella
Shifts: Minimum of 45 hours a week
Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri 06:30 - 15:30
Duration: On‑going contract
Position Summary
Working at a modern Rolling Stock production facility you will initially be engaged to implement a suite of modifications for the new London Underground Stock. You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out mechanical and interior pre‑sale modifications including underframe work
- Recording work via internal IT systems
- Carry out inspections and checks to ensure fleet reliability
- Identify improvements and feedback to team leader
- Advise and rectify any defects that are found
Qualifications / Education Required
Minimum requirements NVQ Level 3 or equivalent award in a Mechanical/Engineering discipline. Minimum 18 months Mechanical Rolling Stock Modifications experience.
All applicants must be able to pass a drugs and alcohol test before being offered a position (this is standard procedure on Rail depots).
