Location: East Yorkshire

Hourly Pay Rate: £23.06 PAYE / £31.00 Umbrella

Shifts: Minimum of 45 hours a week

Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri 06:30 - 15:30

Duration: On-going contract

Position Summary

Working at a modern Rolling Stock production facility, you will initially be engaged for the implementation of a suite of modifications for the new London Underground Stock.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the safe, efficient and professional workmanship of oneself and others under your control.
  • Carrying out modifications on electrical systems including wiring strip out and rewires, electrical component removal and installation, and testing of all work undertaken.
  • Carrying out fault finding on Electric Multiple Units.
  • Checking train systems including TPWS (Train Protection and Warning Systems), AWS (Automatic Warning Systems), PIS (Passenger Information Systems), Traction, braking, doors, radios, CCTVs, and HVAC units DOO (Driver Only Operations systems).
  • Using manufacturer supplied computer programs to interrogate and program parts and systems.
  • Gather evidence of faults and create reports to ensure warranty covered parts are replaced.
  • Carrying out work recording via both paperwork and computer systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirements NVQ Level 3 or equivalent award in an electrical discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years Electrical experience on vehicles.
