You'll be joining a well-established engineering business working on control and automation projects across energy, renewables, water and manufacturing sectors. Projects are often within highly regulated environments, focused on improving performance and efficiency at scale.
What will you be doing?
- Designing, developing and implementing PLC and SCADA/DCS systems
- Working across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to delivery
- Producing design and test documentation (FDS, DDS, test specifications)
- Carrying out factory acceptance testing (FAT) with internal teams and clients
- Modifying and upgrading existing systems, as well as supporting new builds
- Reviewing and checking technical work produced by others
- Supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers

What you'll need:
- Experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell or Schneider
- Strong SCADA configuration experience (e.g. WinCC, PCS7, Zenon or similar)
- Ability to write software to IEC61131 standards (ladder, FBD, ST, SFC)
- Experience producing technical specifications and project documentation
- Understanding of full project lifecycle and QA processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach
- Willingness to travel when required
- Full UK driving licence
