Job Purpose: As Country Manager – Scotland, you will be the senior representative to my client in the Scottish market. You will combine strategic client relationship management, contract oversight, and business development to drive growth and performance across Scotland. You will be responsible for strengthening and expanding relationships with existing public and private sector clients, ensuring the highest standards of contract delivery, and positioning the company as the partner for sustainable thermal asphalt repair solutions in Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary senior point of contact for all major clients in Scotland (public sector: councils, Transport Scotland, and private sector partners).
- Lead client liaison, relationship development, and account management to maximise contract opportunities and secure repeat business.
- Provide high-level oversight of all Scottish contracts, working closely with operational teams to ensure safe, high-quality, timely, and commercially successful delivery.
- Monitor contract performance, profitability, client satisfaction, and risk across the Scottish portfolio.
- Identify and develop new opportunities within existing client accounts, including extensions, variations, and framework renewals.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Business Services on commercial strategy, tendering support, and pricing for Scottish opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Head of Operations to ensure consistent operational excellence, resource planning, and adherence to company standards.
- Champion the company’s innovative infrared thermal repair technology and its environmental benefits to Scottish clients and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at senior industry events, forums, and networking opportunities across Scotland.
- Produce regular performance reports and forecasts for senior leadership.
- Support the mobilisation and successful handover of new contracts and frameworks in Scotland.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior contracts, business development, or country/regional manager role within highways maintenance, civil engineering, or road surfacing sectors.
- Strong track record of client relationship management and business development with public sector clients (particularly Scottish Local Authorities and Transport Scotland) and private sector partners.
- Significant experience in contract oversight and commercial management of road repair or infrastructure contracts.
- Established network within the Scottish roads and infrastructure industry.

- Excellent client liaison and relationship-building skills at senior level.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance operational delivery with business growth.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
