The below job description will outline this position of: Fire & Security Installation Engineer Typically, this person will be an experienced Fire & Security Engineer with a strong background in the installation and commissioning of electronic security and fire alarm systems.
The successful candidate will predominantly cover the Glasgow area, with occasional travel to sites across Scotland.
- Duties and responsibilities of the Fire & Security Installation Engineer will be:
- Install, commission and configure fire alarm, intruder alarm, IP CCTV and access control systems.
- Carry out system testing, fault finding and remedial works to ensure installations are completed to a high standard.
- Work closely with customers and project teams to ensure installations meet the required specification and customer expectations.
- Complete installation paperwork, commissioning documentation and site reports accurately and within required timescales.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant industry standards, company procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service while representing the company on customer sites.
- Liaise with management and customers regarding any technical issues, project requirements or additional works identified on site.
- Qualifications and requirements for the Fire & Security Installation Engineer:
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience within the Fire & Security industry.
- Strong installation and commissioning experience with Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, IP CCTV and/or Access Control systems.
- Good understanding of relevant fire and intruder alarm standards and regulations.
- Full and valid UK Driving Licence.
- CSCS, ECS and/or IPAF qualifications would be advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work professionally on customer sites.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and project teams.
Working Hours & Package
- £37,000 – £40,000 basic salary, dependent on experience.
- Overtime available with OTE of up to £48,000+.
