The fundamental Regional Environmental Compliance Lead role comes with a salary of £57,200 + car allowance + up to 10% Bonus + private healthcare + other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties:- Ensuring compliance with site environmental permits or licences as well as specific working plans including administration and audits.
- Driving environmental performance improvement through behavioural change.
- Ensure functional managers within the business understand their responsibilities for managing the environmental impact of their operations.
- Monitoring, reviewing and recommending management system improvements driven by information using leading indicators.
- Produce Environmental reports for submission for all levels of the business and external stakeholders.
- Ensure sites are fully prepared for internal and external audits relating to ISO, environmental and compliance aspects.
- Taking and recording fuel and by-product samples for analysis in accordance with designated procedures, against the reference criterion, e.g. EP, ROCs, MCERTS and CEMS.
- A Degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject such as Environmental Science, etc.
- Experience working in a highly regulated, heavy process industry such as Power (EfW, Biomass, CCGT, etc), Refineries, Water Treatment, etc.
- Willingness to travel when required, with overnight stays.
- Experience working with continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS).
- Awareness of the relevant management standards ISO9001, ISO45001, and ISO50001.
- Familiarity with hazardous characteristics of incinerator bottom ash (IBA).
- Experience in producing environmental reports and submitting to the Environment Agency (EA).
- Basic salary of £57,200.
