Commercial Manager

£80,000 + £6000 Car Allowance + Bonus
A fantastic opportunity to join a growing infrastructure business. I'm working with a client that is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to join its senior leadership team in Glasgow.
The Role
Reporting into the senior management team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the commercial function across a portfolio of projects, ensuring commercial objectives are achieved while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
- Leading the commercial management of multiple infrastructure projects.
- Supporting project teams with commercial advice and decision-making.
- Managing client and subcontractor relationships.
- Negotiating contracts and resolving commercial matters.
- Monitoring project performance, costs and profitability.
- Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Driving continuous improvement across commercial processes.
- Leading and mentoring members of the commercial team.
- Working collaboratively with operational and finance teams to achieve business objectives.
About You
We're keen to speak with experienced Commercial Managers who can demonstrate:
- Previous commercial leadership experience within a contractor or private-sector environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and sound business judgement.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing contracts, commercial risk and financial performance.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to make decisions and drive improvements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships across operational, commercial and client teams.
Experience within civil engineering, highways, infrastructure, utilities or construction would be advantageous, although applicants from other sectors with transferable commercial management experience are encouraged to apply.
