Responsibilities:
- Assist with NPIs.
- Implement new processes on the factory floor.
- Support technicians with fault diagnosis and repair of production equipment.
- Carry out updates to controlled drawings and documentation.
- Introduce LEAN improvements within production to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Liaise with external contractors to coordinate planned maintenance or repairs.
- Perform calibration tasks on production equipment and maintain accurate records.
- Train production staff on new or updated processes or equipment.
- Assist with shopfloor layout change activities and new equipment installations.
- Create programmes for production equipment.
- Design and install jigs and fixtures.
- Research and install new production equipment.
- Perform takt time analysis of cells to set and improve KPIs across production.
- Design and install new production cells.
- Develop automation solutions.
- Run pre-production activities.
- Review and approve concessions.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree level qualification in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
- Experience within engineering / production environment.
- Experience in PCBA manufacture, design and testing.
- Automation systems.
- Solid foundation in electronics down to the component level.
- Knowledge of lean processes and process development (desirable).
- CAD software (SolidWorks).
- Test software (LabView).
