An established environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Geotechnical Project Manager to join its growing London team.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage a diverse range of infrastructure, commercial and residential projects while working within a collaborative business that offers clear career progression and the opportunity to lead major schemes.

You will take responsibility for delivering geotechnical projects from tender through to completion, managing clients, overseeing technical delivery and mentoring junior engineers.

The role offers a balance of technical, commercial and project management responsibilities within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

  • Managing geotechnical projects from inception to completion.
  • Preparing proposals, tenders and project programmes.
  • Overseeing ground investigations and geotechnical design.
  • Managing project budgets, resources and timescales.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Reviewing technical reports and ensuring high‑quality project delivery.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing geotechnical projects within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of ground investigation and geotechnical design.
  • Excellent client‑facing and commercial skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Full UK driving licence.
