Responsibilities:

  • Perform reactive and preventative trade-related duties to enable BJF Group to meet and exceed contractual obligations.
  • General plumbing duties, repair works and minor installations of low-temperature hot water and heating systems.
  • Carry out all works to a high standard, completing them competently and leaving the site clean and tidy.
  • Liaise with other staff and external contractors cooperatively to ensure timely and proper completion of works.
  • Submit all relevant paperwork, job/time sheets and any necessary certification in a timely manner.
  • Work with the line manager and provide advice and information relating to technical matters.
  • Maintain valid qualifications and arrange necessary training in accordance with relevant timescales.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions and conferences as required.
  • Order required materials from suppliers efficiently following the company's purchasing procedures.
  • Act at all times in accordance with the Group’s rules, policies, procedures and ethos.
  • Be flexible and undertake other reasonable duties to accommodate operational requirements.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture, understanding responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of the team and the wider group.

Qualifications:

  • Trade related Qualification Essential CCN1 (or COCDN1), COCN1 (or CODNCO1), CIGA1, CDGA1LL, CCCN1, CCLP1.
  • Experience carrying out trade related maintenance, installation and fault finds.
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works/tasks completed within KPIs.
  • Understanding of safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of different maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to work to set targets.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Initiative to problem-solve.
