About the Role

MBDA’s Land Ceptor Systems Engineering team is expanding to support the British and Polish Armies and extend the system capability for existing and emerging export contracts.

Compensation

Up to £57,000 depending on experience.

Working Conditions

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site.

Security Clearance

British or Dual UK with British citizenship.

Team Opportunity

The Land Ceptor functional development team needs to grow to support new contracts. You will work across multiple domains within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the requirements team to take customer requirements and derive suitable system, subsystem and software requirements, conduct systems studies and support system design.
  • Participate in the certification team to capture and review evidence, conduct technical investigations and support the delivery of Certificate of Designs to enable customer deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the Poland programme lead to organise bids, manage and support programme delivery activities, including stakeholder engagement and delivery of overall Poland programmes in the functional area.
  • Engage with stakeholders across product lines, provide trade studies, engineering change control and management, and drive system development activities.
  • Communicate architectures and ideas at all levels and disseminate technical information to customers.

Qualifications

  • General systems engineering experience, ideally in a defence context.
  • Experience with requirements management and derivation.
  • Familiarity with system engineering tools such as DOORS/DOORS NG/Rhapsody.
  • Capability to disseminate and share technical information to customers effectively.
  • Experience in engineering change control and management.
  • Ability to initiate, undertake and drive trade studies and system development activities.
  • Experience developing complex systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with product lines is beneficial.
