Fire Alarm Service Engineer – South East London
£35,000 – £42,000 basic salary (depending on experience), plus on‑call allowance and overtime.

Role Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a well‑established fire and security company covering South East London.
This is a service, fault‑finding and maintenance role with no installation work involved.
You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive fault‑finding on a wide range of fire alarm systems, ensuring all systems remain compliant and fully operational.
Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and fault‑find a variety of fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently to minimise system downtime.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits.
- Complete service reports and all relevant paperwork accurately.
- Identify remedial works and report findings where required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current industry standards and fire safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the company on site.
- Participate in a 1 in 7 on‑call rota.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good knowledge of both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
- Previous experience within a service and maintenance role (not installation).
- FIA qualifications or manufacturer training would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence or equivalent is essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
