Field Service Engineer – Laboratory Automation Systems

Overall Earnings £60,000+.

The role will involve working one weekend in four (you will receive two alternative days off).

Responsibilities

  • Service, installation, breakdown, repair and calibration of laboratory diagnostics systems within pathology departments, NHS laboratories and clinical chemistry environments.
  • Support flow cytometry, cell separation and diagnostics products located at customer sites.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in field service or technical support within electronics or electro‑mechanical service.
  • Experience with high‑value electronics capital equipment, microscopy, cameras, lasers, X‑ray security detection, ex‑forces (weapons guidance, radar, avionics or biomedical engineering), medical device, biomedical engineering, pathology laboratory diagnostics and laboratory device.
  • Minimum ONC/HNC level or above in electronics or another relevant technical discipline.
  • Impeccable customer service skills and ability to remain confident in customer‑facing environments.
