A nationwide service provider in the West Midlands is seeking a Field Service Engineer. The salary ranges from £30,576 to £31,668, with potential earnings of £40k to £50k including door-to-door travel and overtime. The role includes a company van, tools, workwear, and training.

On joining this business, you will be trained to repair and service a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment, including load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, winches, and moving decks, leading to a recognised industry certification.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will carry out both planned and unplanned service and breakdown repairs to customer vehicle fleets, predominantly throughout the West Midlands and occasionally into Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

The role requires a weekly rotating shift pattern: 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday one week, and 11am – 8pm the following week.

Ideal candidates will be qualified to NVQ level or equivalent in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery, or similar. You should be comfortable using a range of hand tools and have previous experience in repairing, maintaining, or servicing mechanical equipment, plant, or machinery. An understanding of hydraulics and basic fault finding on 12 & 24 volt electrics is preferred, although full training will be provided.
