This role is a Field Service Engineer for a global market leader in the manufacture of professional coffee machines. It offers training and career opportunities and covers the Banbury and Birmingham areas (along the M40).

Duties

  • Install and set up coffee equipment on customers’ premises, making electrical, water and drain connections in compliance with relevant legislation and company procedures.
  • Conduct demonstrations of equipment at staff training sessions, covering safe use, beverage preparation and cleaning procedures.
  • Attend customer sites to carry out routine servicing in line with established procedures.
  • Attend customer sites for mechanical and/or electrical repairs to faulty or failed equipment.
  • Assist insurance company surveyors in carrying out Pressure Boiler Inspections in line with PSSR 2000.
  • Assist in the development of modifications and fitting of upgraded components to standard equipment.
  • Accurately administer all installation, service, and repair activities through company systems.
  • Identify and record chargeable calls, obtain signatures and verifications to prevent misunderstandings.
  • Maintain and replenish spare parts per established system; take care of tools, test equipment and installation equipment.
  • Ensure company vehicle is kept clean, tidy and serviced.
  • Attend training as required; observe health and safety, fire and security procedures.

  • Accurately administer installation, service and repair activities.
  • Support efficient organization of work routines for team employees.
  • Effectively manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Consistently deliver superior customer service.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or a similar role.
  • At least 2 years of electrical experience.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Initiative and adaptability to changing requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow company procedures and client specifications accurately and safely.
  • Time management and deadline experience.
  • Willingness to learn and attend training.
