Owen Daniels are supporting a well-established engineering and manufacturing business that, due to continued growth within their Field Service division, is looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer. This is a customer-facing, hands-on role where you’ll be at the frontline of the business, delivering high standards of service and technical support across critical environments.

As the Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing market-leading technical support across the company’s full product range. You’ll work primarily within hospitals, prisons, and universities, supporting a mix of electrical and mechanical systems, with a particular focus on fire alarm systems and CCTV systems. The role is field-based, supported by a strong internal team, and offers excellent earning potential through paid travel time, overtime, and on‑call allowances.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality technical support and customer service across the company's product range.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in the field.
  • Identify and report product faults, early failures, and corrective actions.
  • Improve efficiency through high first‑time fix rates and reduced return visits.
  • Work closely with internal teams to improve service performance and customer satisfaction.
Essential experience / skills / qualifications:
  • Experience in a field service or technical support role.
  • Experience working with fire alarm systems and/or CCTV systems.
  • Customer‑facing experience with a strong service‑driven mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and communication systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and eligibility for DBS clearance.
