A growing manufacturing business in Fareham is looking for a Production Planner to keep production running smoothly and ensure customer orders are delivered on time. If you enjoy organising complex workflows, solving problems and working with data, this role will suit you perfectly. You will be central to planning, scheduling and coordinating production activity - balancing demand, materials, labour and machine capacity to keep everything moving efficiently.

What you’ll do

  • Create and maintain production schedules
  • Sequence work to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime
  • Adjust plans when demand, materials or equipment availability changes
  • Work closely with procurement to ensure materials arrive on time
  • Monitor MRP outputs and prevent shortages or excess stock
  • Track progress, identify bottlenecks and support corrective actions
  • Produce reports and analyse KPIs such as efficiency and schedule adherence
  • Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives

What you’ll bring

Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar) along with experience in a production planning or scheduling role within manufacturing. An understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows is required and a technical or business degree is preferred.
