A well-established manufacturing business in Burton-on-Trent is looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join the team on a temp-to-perm basis. You'll be involved in the fabrication and MIG welding of bespoke metal and architectural components, working from detailed drawings and producing high-quality finished parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld metal structures from scratch
  • Carry out MIG welding (TIG experience advantageous)
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Work with a range of materials, primarily mild steel
  • Operate workshop machinery including guillotines, press brakes, rollers and grinders
  • Measure, cut and assemble components to tight tolerances
  • Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications

Experience Required

  • Proven fabrication and welding experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and work from technical/engineering drawings
  • Strong MIG welding skills; TIG a bonus
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication & Welding (beneficial, not essential)
