Mechanical Design Engineer required for a company that works in several different market sectors including food, poultry, stainless steel swimming pools, moving pool floors, and agriculture, as well as the design and manufacture of slurry handling equipment.
The Mechanical Design Engineer role would be suited to mechanical design engineers from sheet metal, stainless steel, and/or agricultural product design backgrounds. You will have strong 2D & 3D design package experience ideally on AutoCAD LT and SolidWorks.
The role will principally involve:
- Producing working detail and assembly drawings.
- Undertaking both concept and re-modification design work using stainless steel materials.
- Ensuring drawings are in line with technical specifications provided.
- Working within a successful team to manage the preparation of drawings, parts lists, contract documentation, and other documents for a range of products.
- Attending customer sites for site surveys and troubleshooting.
- Working on multiple projects with short lead times simultaneously.
Any relevant engineering qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
