My client is looking for a CAD Technician. This role is a key part of the Design, Engineering and Project team, strengthening the service to their customers and internal departments. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high‑value, bespoke international projects while contributing to an established, highly skilled design team.
Responsibilities:
- Complete accurate drawings, to an agreed specification within the agreed timescales.
- Production of Bills of Materials.
- Utilise the principles of Design for Manufacture and value‑added engineering throughout design undertakings where applicable.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure all necessary information is available for effective product manufacture.
- Use Autodesk Inventor 3D, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software, along with AutoCAD packages.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have an engineering background supported by strong technical knowledge and relevant qualifications (or equivalent experience).
- You should be confident in producing Bills of Materials and, ideally, have experience working with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of iLogic, Python, or similar coding tools would be a valuable advantage.
