Temporary Works Engineer Position Overview
- Deliver temporary works designs across a variety of construction projects
- Act as a key account manager and main point of contact for major clients
- Produce quotations and forecasting for customer enquiries
- Prepare Temporary Works Design Briefs and support clients with suitable design solutions
- Carry out site visits, surveys, and inspections as required
- Produce concept and detailed engineering designs and technical drawings
- Provide technical support to colleagues and clients
- Ensure designs comply with BS5975 and CDM2015 regulations
- Coordinate and mentor junior team members
- Work independently across multiple projects and deadlines
Temporary Works Engineer Position Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' experience within UK Temporary Works Engineering
- Good knowledge of BS5975 and temporary works procedures
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong mathematical and numerical ability
- Proficient in 2D AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and general arrangements
- Strong IT skills
- Working towards Chartership with ICE or IStructE desirable
- Experience within permanent works engineering advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
