Due to continued growth, my client is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator with a strong background in Structural Steel and Architectural Metalwork. This is a key role within the business, offering long‑term stability and the chance to work on a diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for structural steel and architectural metalwork packages.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and suppliers to ensure full project understanding.
- Carry out material take‑offs and cost breakdowns.
- Identify and assess project risks and opportunities.
- Support project and contracts teams with cost information post‑tender.
- Keep up to date with market rates, materials and industry trends.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven estimating experience within the structural steel and architectural metalwork sectors.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication and installation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
- Ability to manage own workload effectively and work as part of a team.
Working Arrangements
- Ideally office‑based, 5 days per week in Leighton Buzzard.

They Offer
- Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per annum (DOE).
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Annual leave: 28 days (including bank holidays).
