We are working with a well-established and growing £40m turnover Developer / Contractor based in Warrington, who are looking to strengthen their Pre-Construction team with the appointment of an Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative business with a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work. As an Estimator, you will play a key role within the Pre-Construction team, supporting the accurate assessment and costing of projects from early-stage land appraisals through to tender submission.
Key Responsibilities- Produce cost appraisals for new land opportunities
- Carry out detailed take-offs and develop cost plans and feasibility studies
- Review drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates (materials, labour, plant)
- Support tender submissions including pricing and documentation
- Liaise with Land, Technical and Design teams to gather key project information
- Maintain and update cost databases and estimating records
- Provide general support across pre-construction activities
- Experience in an Estimating role within construction
- Backgrounds from housebuilding, developer or main contractor environments considered
- Relevant qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, BTEC or working towards)
- Strong understanding of construction methods and cost planning principles
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Collaborative and proactive approach
