Success Recruit is proud to be partnering with a dynamic and forward‑thinking, leading construction company based in Central Essex, currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Sales / Business Development Manager to join their growing team and support refurbishment contracts. The successful Technical Sales Business Development Manager will excel in client facing positions; communicating with professionalism and demonstrating a strong ability to build long‑lasting connections with existing relationships. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and project coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets; track sales performance and deliver regular updates to senior management.
  • Nurture existing client base and identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, technical presentations, and quotations tailored to client requirements.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to strengthen relationships and provide technical advice.
  • Support the Project Manager, monitor progress and budget of each project and maintain seamless communication with the clients and internal staff.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure solutions are feasible and align with client requirements.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Work closely with senior management to improve and streamline processes impacting sales and the business as a whole.
  • Prepare accurate forecast and pipeline reports.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a consultative sales/account management position or have successfully grown and managed own business within a construction or related industry sector.
  • Excellent communication and rapport skills with a can‑do attitude to exceed expectations.
  • Solution‑oriented, entrepreneurial mindset and desire to develop further within career.
  • Comfortable and confident delivering proposals and presentations face‑to‑face and making cold calls to build and develop new relationships.
