Consultant Ecologist Location: Chelmsford, Essex (REMOTE POSITION)
Salary: £27,000 – £40,000
Pebble Recruitment is working with a leading Ecological Consultancy seeking an Ecologist or Senior Ecologist for their growing team around Chelmsford, Essex/surrounding areas. Our client is known for delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions while supporting both clients around Chelmsford and surrounding areas, as well as a real focus on employee well-being.
You’ll work closely with the ecology team on a range of projects, including protected species surveys, PEAs, and BNG assessments.
The Ecologist Role
- Undertake protected species surveys
- Prepare tenders and proposals
- Produce technical reports (PEA, BNG, protected species)
- Manage small to medium projects (with support on larger ones)
Ecologist Requirements
- 3–8 years’ industry experience
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or similar
- At least one protected species licence
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation
- CIEEM membership (advantageous)
Ecologist Benefits
