The site produces a wide range of high‑volume frozen food products and operates a complex mix of production, packaging and industrial refrigeration systems.
Engineering reliability is critical to maintaining continuous production, strict food safety standards, and temperature‑controlled storage integrity.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) across production and refrigeration equipment
- Respond rapidly to breakdowns and restore equipment to full operation
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using structured fault‑finding techniques
- Maintain and repair industrial refrigeration and freezing systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
- Assist with installation, commissioning and modification of new equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP and BRCGS standards
- Carry out general site and facilities maintenance as required
- Work closely with production teams to minimise disruption and maintain output
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failures
About You

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' maintenance engineering experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Hands‑on approach with excellent problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
Desirable Experience
- Food manufacturing experience
- Refrigeration / cold storage systems experience
- F‑Gas qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- PLC fault‑finding experience
- Experience with VFDs / inverters
- Welding or fabrication skills
