Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £53,000
Locations (commutable): Erith, Dartford, Bexley, Gravesend, Woolwich
Shift pattern: Rotating 4 on 4 off – Days & Nights (5 am‑5 pm / 5 pm‑5 am)
Role & Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and support continuous production
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks in line with site schedule and priorities
- Record work completed, parts used and maintenance activity accurately
- Maintain safe working practices and comply with food safety and health & safety standards
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or production environment
- Time‑served apprenticeship with electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, HNC desirable)
- Proven fault‑finding ability across electrical and mechanical plant
- Previous experience working with a PPM system
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
