We are working with a well-established Building Services consultancy looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Epsom. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment, working across a range of projects and sectors.

The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of high-quality mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion while working closely with senior engineers and project teams.

The Role

  • Deliver mechanical building services design on a range of projects
  • Produce detailed and coordinated design solutions to client specifications
  • Prepare design calculations and technical reports
  • Produce and assist with AutoCAD drawings
  • Attend client and project meetings
  • Assist with project delivery and coordination
  • Participate in design reviews, audits, and quality control procedures
  • Carry out building surveys where required
  • Support and collaborate with junior members of the team
  • Work towards Chartered Engineer status

Requirements

  • Experience within a Building Services Consultancy environment
  • Mechanical building services design experience
  • Understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Ability to undertake mechanical calculations and technical reporting
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Working towards Chartership desirable
