Responsibilities
- Lead coordination efforts among engineers from multi-disciplined technical teams.
- Utilise key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to monitor JDO's performance across designated buildings.
- Look for and define opportunities to implement and improve processes and ways of working.
- Ensure timely delivery of all design and construction changes to meet the demands of construction.
- Participate in readiness reviews of Design Packages before construction, as requested by design owners.
- Collaborate closely with Design teams, Contractors, and Construction teams to uphold technical quality standards, construction schedules, and safety protocols.
- Provide proactive updates to the JDO Area Lead and Engineering Manager regarding risks and facilitate swift resolution of any emerging issues.
Qualifications
- Hold a degree in Engineering (preferably Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent along with relevant experience in this field, especially in large multi-disciplined engineering projects, preferably nuclear.
- Familiarity with Contract Management, especially ONR and CDM Regulations, coupled with a talent for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to spot procedural improvements and resolve low-complexity issues within your technical discipline.
- Utilise engineering background with accuracy, tenacity, diplomacy, and a results-oriented mindset, who values teamwork.
- Have the ability to define your own targets and draft action plans to achieve specific project objectives, leveraging your existing skills and experience.
- Be proactive with the ability to work independently, who excel at planning effective implementations under broad supervision.
- Bring your experience in design, drafting, or construction to the table, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate good technical knowledge and the ability to work with minimal supervision, while maintaining a pragmatic and practical approach to issue management.
