Responsibilities:
- Plan and prioritize work to minimise machinery downtime and ensure maximum use of resources.
- Lead and support the Morrisons asset care programme, demonstrating its behaviours and taking a hands‑on approach to repair and optimise reliability of all equipment assets.
- Co‑ordinate maintenance priorities with the Maintenance team, ensuring that maintenance is planned in advance to avoid production disruption and working closely with the site production team.
- Undertake crisis incident management, accident and near‑miss investigations and ensure standards of discipline are maintained, handling infringements in line with company discipline and grievance procedures.
- Ensure reliability of all equipment assets.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, or BTEC level 3 in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering.
- Proven track record in an engineering and fault‑finding role gained from an FMCG or food industry environment.
- Proven experience delivering strong results through a team in a people‑management role.
- Good understanding of HACCP principles; IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations is advantageous.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills to engage, motivate, and develop large teams with varying skill sets.
