We're looking for a qualified Electrician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service to join our repairs and maintenance team working across social housing properties throughout Westminster. You'll play an important role in helping to keep safe by maintaining compliant electrical systems and delivering high-quality repairs across local communities.

About the role

You’ll deliver a high-quality, right first-time service carrying out a variety of electrical repairs, testing, installation and condition reporting works. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing faults, completing repairs, carrying out EICRs and inspections, and undertaking installation works while ensuring full compliance with current electrical regulations and company standards. Working both independently and as part of a wider team, you’ll use electronic systems to manage and record your work, maintain van stock levels and contribute towards achieving excellent first-time fix rates. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise while also undertaking basic multi-skilled tasks where required. You’ll play an important part in maintaining safe, compliant homes and delivering an exceptional service.

You’ll be confident carrying out electrical repairs, testing, fault finding and installation works while ensuring compliance with current regulations and safety standards.

Essential Qualifications

  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment) (2357)
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance) (2357)
  • Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (5357)
  • Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker (2356)
  • Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services - Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures)
  • Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (2347)
  • EAL Building Services Engineering (Level 3) - Electrotechnical Installation
  • Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnical Studies and Practice (Military Engineering) DAO

All qualifications must include the associated AM2 assessment (or equivalent recognised competence assessment). You must also hold: Electrical Installations BS7671 (18th Edition), where this was not delivered as part of the qualification listed above.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience carrying out electrical repairs, testing, fault finding and installation work within domestic properties.
  • Experience completing EICRs and condition reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety and customer service.
  • Experience working within social housing or occupied residential properties is desirable.
  • You must hold a valid full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months, as a company vehicle will be provided (work use only).
